Aaron was born in 1806.  Aaron's father was Poosey Reeder and his mother was Mary Nancy Asbill Reeder.  His maternal grandparents were William Asbell Sr. and Malinda Ross.  He was the oldest of four children.  He had two brothers and a sister, named John, Amos and Elizabeth.  He had four half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Thomas E., William Kelly, Harrison, Sylvester W., Sarah, Sabinda Taborida, Mahala Jane, Lydia and Melinda Emaline.
