Grietje was born in September 1920.  Grietje's father was Albert Veenstra and her mother was Hilligje Jonkman.  Her paternal grandparents were Harm Veenstra and Albertje Monsuur. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Jan, Kleine Haarm, Albertje and Jantje.  She was the youngest of the five children.  She died at 5 months old on February 7th, 1921 in Diever.1
