Jantjen was born on August 10th, 1821 in Zelhem.1  Jantjen's father was Lammert Radstake and her mother was Leidina Buunk (Vaijers).  Her paternal grandparents were Joost Radstake (Ratstaak) and Wilmina / Willemina ((ook Aaltje)) Gielink (Bloemen); her maternal grandparents were Lammert Buunk / Burink and Jenneken Berendsen / Berendzen (Vaijers). She had two brothers and five sisters, named Willem, Gerhard, Jenneken, Aleida Willemina, Garritjen, Johanna and Berendjen.  She was the oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 71 on July 7th, 1893 in Velp.
