Vrouwtje was born on July 16th, 1781.  Vrouwtje's father was Jan Cornelis de Boer and her mother was Trijntje Dirks Schoutsen / Schoutse / Schouten. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Dirk, Geertje, Cornelis, Cornelis, Anna, Lijsbeth, Lijsbeth and Trijntje.  She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
