Janna was born on February 20th, 1763.  Janna's father was Jan Derk Craassenberg and her mother was Berendina Coppelman / Koppelman.  Her paternal grandparents were Jannes Jansen Craassenberg / Kraassenberg and Hendrina Hendriksen Klein Wesselink; her maternal grandparents were Jan Derk Coppelman and Vrouw / Moeder. She had a brother and three sisters, named Hendrik, Hendrika / Hendrica, Aeltjen and Jenneken.  She was the oldest of the five children.
