Trijntje was born in February 1815 in Nieuwe Niedorp.  Trijntje's father was Teunis Pietersz de Groot and her mother was Trijntje Jans Pijper. She had a brother and six sisters, named Cornelis, Geertje, Maartje, Kniertje, Neeltje, Geertje and Trijntje.  She was the third youngest of the eight children.  She died at 6 months old on August 29th, 1815 in Nieuwe Niedorp.
