Huybertje was born on February 24th, 1726 in Haarlem.1  Huybertje's father was Hendrik / Henderik Jansz Persoon and her mother was Lysbeth / Lijsbeth Snep.  Her paternal grandparents were Jan Hendrikse / Hendrickz Persoon and Huibertje Wilhemsz van Geele (Geel). She had four sisters named Dorothe, Dorothea, Marijtje and Stijntje.  She was the oldest of the five children.
