Aaltje was born about 1860.  Aaltje's father was Willem Haan and her mother was Aafje Beets.  Her maternal grandparents were Jan Beets and Aaltje Worp. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Jan, Jan, Maartje, Maartje and Krijntje.  She was the third oldest of the six children.  She died on October 31st, 1930.
