Abram was born on November 7th, 1734.  Abram's father was Pieter Fokker / Focker and his mother was Lijsbeth Joris Kaij / Kaaij.  His maternal grandparents were Joris Pieters Kaij / Kay and Jantje / Jannetje Volkerts. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Joris, Jacob, Cornelis, Dirk, Antje and Jannetje.  He was the second youngest of the seven children.
