Ni (Thứ 9) was born on December 25th, 1945. Ni (Thứ 9)'s father was Nguyễn Hữu Tâm (Thứ 3) and his mother is Mai Thị Cúc (thứ 7). His paternal grandparents were Nguyễn Hữu Hành and Ngô Thị Thông; his maternal grandparents were Mai Văn Danh and Ngà. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Ninh (Út), Năng (Thứ 10), Nê (Thứ 8), Bé(Thứ7), Lỉnh (Thứ 6), Sứ (Thứ 5), Lài (Thứ 4), Ðiệp (Thứ 3) and Hồng Cẫm (Thứ 2). He is the eighth oldest of the ten children.

General Notes
- Went to US in 1973- before the the end of the war. Early retired at 53 and lived in the US.

Education Details
- Ni (Thứ 9) attended Sai Gon University full time from 1966 as an undergraduate. He completed the program on October 14th, 1970 and was awarded a diploma.

    - College of Agricuulture. Sai Gon Unuversity. Graduate as Agricultural Engineeer, specialized in rural construction
  He attended Colorado State University, Fort Collins full time from 1973 studying for a masters degree. He completed the program in 1976 and was awarded a diploma.

    - Master Degree in Engineering. Specalized in Irrigation and drainage
  He attended California State University, Sacramento at distance learning from 1995 as an undergraduate. He completed the program and gained a certificate.

Occupation Details
- From 1970 Ni (Thứ 9)'s occupation was Instructor full time in education for College of Agriculture, Cầ Thơ University, in Cầ Thơ. He was promoted from this position in 1973.

    - Giảng Nghiệm Viên. Promoted to overseas training ( MS degree) under sponsorship of Mekong Delta Project
  From 1980 his occupation was Irrigation Specialist/US advisor contractor in consulting for USAID (Agency for International development) State Depertment. USA. His assignment was in Senegal, in West Africa. He resigned in 1988.

    - For 8 years his was US adviser and project Engineer for 2 major Irrigation projects in Bakel and Casamence (Senegal) Project has built 28 Irrigation perimeters in 24 villages along Senegal River
  From 1989 his occupation was Associate Professor. full time in consulting for Luisiana State University. Baton Rouge. LA. He was assigned to work in College of Agriculture in Jamaica, in Jamaica. He left in 1890 at the end of the contract.

    - Developped and carry out research program in Irrigation for Banana plantation in Port land, Jamaica.
  From 1992 his occupation was Water Resourse Engineer full time in public administration for Water Resourses Deparment of the t. State of Arizona, in Phoenix AZ. He resigned in 1993.

    - Resigned due to devorce and move to California
