  • A vertious " Ong Hoi Dong" with a nickname " Hoi Dong Hien". His Father was also a District Chief.Well Known and Rich family in Thanh Phu. In 1950s (after the end of world war II),  Frenche  Military wase defeated byJapanese army. Viet Minh rebellion was in power. Insurgence mushroomed  in rural areas , Omomg them were Vietnamese opportunists who were French authorities or soldiers in the remode outposts seiged power.  Country had no laws . These opportunist become armed robbers,  killed rich familes  and stole   their valuables (Money, gold, furniture, rice paddy, working buffallos, clothes...Nguyen Huu Hanh, the oldest daughter and her son ,all were murdered at his house in Ben Vinh  by the same reason. All valuabled were took away including 7 sets of heavy wooden beds,  tons paddy, working buffalos...Three days after the murder, the oldest son , Nguyen Huu Tam, who lived very far (in Vinh hoa Bentre) heard the news. It took him a day to arrived to the murder scene.  He found his father's body hiden in the nipa ( dừa nước) swamp, 500-600 yards away  from the house (  Cu Queo tributary}.Evidence showed that he was stabbed to dead by more than one persons  after a big fight. His daughter body was found  5-10 yards from the house, laid by the water. The third boby was of his grand son, about 300 yards from the house. The 2nd grand son escapped by ranaway in the dark.
