Ellen Pogson

Ellen was born about 1881 in Horsforth, Yorkshire, England.¹ Ellen's father was William Pogson and her mother was Sarah Ann Roberts. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Roberts and Anne Clarkson. She had two brothers and six sisters, named William, Herbert, Clara, Nellie, Ada, Beatrice, Doris and Custis. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
