Thomas was born in 1665.  Thomas' father was Patrick Milroy and his mother was Janet Miekleurick.  His paternal grandparents were John Milroy and Ada. He had six brothers named James, William, Gilbert, John, Martin and Patrick.  He was the third youngest of the seven children.
