Laura Jane Hamlin (Turner) 
Laura was born on November 17th, 1856 in North Carolina. Laura's father was William Wilshire Hamlin and her mother was Elisabeth (Hamlin). Her paternal grandparents were James Hamlin and Phoebe Siniard. She had three brothers and a sister, named James, Benjman, Tilson and Alice. She was the oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 82 on May 13th, 1939 in North Carolina. She was buried at the Catheys Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.-
