Darcy was born on June 11th, 1916 in Adelaide, SA.1   Darcy's father was Alfred Malcolm POLAND and his mother was Alice Rose FARR.  His paternal grandparents were Charles POLAND and Lily LEE. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Charles, Stanley, Sidney, Donald, Grace, Ida and Kathleen.  He was the youngest of the eight known children.  He died at the age of 58 on November 19th, 1974.  The funeral took place on December 6th, 1974 in Centennial Park Cemetery, Pasadena, SA.  He was cremated on November 21st, 1974 in Centennial Park Cemetery, Pasadena, SA.2 3
