Rosetta was born on November 16th, 1867 in Willunga, SA.1   Rosetta's father was James POINTON and her mother was Peggy POLKINGHORNE.  Her paternal grandparents were John POINTER and Mary EMERSON. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, John, Mary, Susan, Alice and Rebecca.  She was the youngest of the seven known children.
