John POINTON

John was born on October 27th, 1852 in Adelaide, SA.¹   John's father was James POINTON and his mother was Peggy POLKINGHORNE.  His paternal grandparents were John POINTER and Mary EMERSON. He had a brother and five sisters, named Thomas, Mary, Susan, Alice, Rebecca and Rosetta.  He was the second oldest of the seven known children.  He died at 3 months old on February 4th, 1853 in Willunga, SA.²
