Sarah was born on June 30th, 1850 in Gawler River, SA.1 Sarah's father was John Pocock PARHAM and her mother was Jane ROWE. Her paternal grandparents were Edmund PARHAM and Sarah COPIS. She had six brothers and three sisters, named John, George, William, Edmund, Edwin, Henry, Eleanor, Jessie and Dorcas. She was the oldest of the ten children.-
