Lydia was born on February 1st, 1859 in Gawler River, SA.1 Lydia's father was Edmund PARHAM and her mother was Mary McMANUS. Her paternal grandparents were Edmund PARHAM and Sarah COPIS. She had five brothers and three sisters, named William, Samuel, Joseph, Silas, Frederick, Adeline, Catherine and Emma. She was the oldest of the nine children.-
