Edward P OCKENDEN

Edward was born in 1853 in Littlehampton, Sussex, England.¹   Edward's father was Albion OCKENDEN and his mother was Elizabeth HARMAN.  His paternal grandparents were William OCKENDEN and Elizabeth HILLS; his maternal grandparents were Sargent HARMAN and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Sargent, Maurice, Grace, Elizabeth and Clara.  He was the youngest of the six known children. He had six half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Albion, Frederick, Walter, Archibald, Wallan, Egbert, Caroline, Margaret, Mary and Edith.
