Martha was born in 1874 in Echuca, VIC.1  Martha's father was John Hudson BARTON and her mother was Mary Louisa WEBBER.  Her maternal grandparents were William Wood WEBBER and Henrietta Hanna FIRN. She had four brothers and eight sisters, named William, John, James, Charles, Isabella, Mary, Elizabeth, Amelia, Ellen, Emily, Caroline and Hannah.  She was the second youngest of the thirteen children.  She died at the age of 7 in 1881 in Cohuna, VIC.
