Sarah's father was Josiah ANTHONY and her mother was Anne HOCKING.  Her paternal grandparents were Nathaniel ANTHONY and Ann. She had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Charles, Elizabeth and Mary.  She was the second oldest of the five children.
