Charles' father was Josiah ANTHONY and his mother was Anne HOCKING.  His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel ANTHONY and Ann. He had a brother and three sisters, named John, Elizabeth, Sarah and Mary.  He was the youngest of the five children.  He died at the age of 48 on November 29th, 1885 in Kadina, SA.³
