Grace, known as Dinks, was born on August 10th, 1910.  Dinks' father was Ernest George DOWNING and her mother was Alice Eliza GOULDEN.  Her paternal grandparents were George DOWNING and Sarah Ann CARTER; her maternal grandparents were Richard GOULDEN and Elizabeth. She had three brothers and four sisters, named The Professor, Tim, Ernest, Beatrice, Lily, Dot and Flo.  She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.  She died from cancer, Melanomatosis, at the age of 72 on January 13th, 1983.  She was cremated.
