Helen, known as Ella, was born on October 5th, 1889 in Saginaw, MI. Ella's father was Louis Littlejohns and her mother was Mary Oakes/Littlejohns. Her paternal grandparents were William Langdon Littlejohns and Aurilla King/Littlejohns; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Parks Oakes and Elizabeth McCary/Oakes. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, Elmer, Gertrude, Roland, Mae, <Unknown>, Genevieve, Aurilla, Harlan and Agnes. She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 94 in 1983 in Cottage Grove, OR.
