Jason was born on 23-Mar-1898 in Howland.1 Jason's father was Mr George Laidlaw Rayner and his mother was Elizabeth Rayner nee (Meredith). He was the third of eight children. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Franklin, Orville, Leonard, William, Austin, Silva and Jane. He died, at the age of 19, on 26-Aug-1917 in France as a war casaulty. The funeral took place in BURRIED AT/NOEUX-LES/MINES/FRANCE.23
