Orville was born on 3-Jul-1900 in Standfield.1   Orville's father was Mr George Laidlaw Rayner and his mother was Elizabeth Rayner nee (Meredith).  He was the fifth of eight children.  He had five brothers and two sisters, named Franklin, Jason, Leonard, William, Austin, Silva and Jane.  He died, at the age of 69, on 25-May-1970.
