Jane was born on 25-Mar-1898.  Jane's father was Mr George Laidlaw Rayner and her mother was Elizabeth Rayner nee (Meredith).  She was the fourth of eight children.  She had six brothers and a sister, named Austin, William, Leonard, Orville, Jason, Franklin and Silva.
