It is possible that this Mary was Martin of Tomacork's sister. Anne Burgess noted: “The widow, Mary Kenny Byrne, is on the FW CD, ID 150. (It says Simon was scratched, and if so, he came later.) I believe Mary Kenny Byrne here is the sister of Martin K of Tomacork. Myles maybe a cousin. Simon and his family are buried beside Myles, and Myles's daughter Mary was godmother to one of Simon's children. (Mary K Byrne may be buried beside Myles as well, but without a stone.)
Mary Kenny Byrne's son, Michael, married my first cousin, thrice removed, Margaret Murphy. (I think that's right--my ggfather's first cousin.) Margaret was also a FW evictee from Parkmore townland.
Mary Kenny Byrne's grandson, John (he was Simon's son) married my great-aunt, Mary Agnes Murphy. She's the one great-aunt I actually knew.
The witness on the 1829 MARRIAGE is definitely DAN KENNY as in DANIEL KENNY. There are a few DANIEL KENNYS . One had CATHERINE KENNY bap. 11th MARCH 1831 dau of DANIEL KENNY and CATHERINE BYRNE sp: CHARLES KENNY and ELLEN KEHOE. LOCATION : COLLATTIN.
