Clara E. was born on August 1st, 1893 in Plattsmouth, Cass, Nebraska. Clara E.'s father was Cyril JANDA and her mother was Pauline MARTINEK. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas JANDA and Marianna SEDLACEK; her maternal grandfather is Joseph MARTINEK. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas Cyril, Charles Clement, Cyrill, Antonia (Tony), Mary, Celia, Valentine and Agnes Pauline. She was the third youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 93 on December 19th, 1986 in Kansas City, Missouri, Meyer Care Centr.General Notes
Info from obituary. Her and her husband moved to Sedalia Missouri in 1921.
Mary Lee Holder said, "She Aunt Clara) was very much into crafts, and I remember how she would fry marbles in a hot skillet until they cracked in the inside only, then she spent hours gluing them together as bunches of grapes. She also taught me to paint and glue raw macaroni onto an ashtray."
