General Notes

Mary Lee Holder said, "Uncle Vince died in a "hunting accident," while he was hunting alone, and I have the obituary from the "Sedalia Democrat" where they explain in detail how it supposedly happened". He was hunting a fox or a wolf that he had seen near his property.  It is believed that he was moving a brush pile with his double barrel 12 gage shot gun when the gun discharged and struck Vince in the lower abdomen.  When he did not come home, aunt Clara went and found him lying in the brush.  he was dead when she found him.
According to this obit,
He came to palttsmouth at age 17 and worked for the Burlington railroad.  April 1923 he and Clara moved to Sedalia, MO and worked for Missour Pacific RR and was a coach builder in the shops. On March 2, 1959, he retired.
