Mary Teresa was born on March 30th, 1888 in Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada.1 Mary Teresa's father was Francis HOURIGAN and her mother was Mary KENNY. Her paternal grandparents were Michael HOURIGAN and Bridget MALONEY; her maternal grandparents were Thomas KENNY and Elenor PURCELL. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Michael Francis, Thomas, Francis John, John James, Thomas Leo, Leonard Joseph, Elenor (Nellie), Bridget Ann (Anna) and Veronica. She was the fourth youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 81 in 1969 in Ottawa. She was buried in Pinecrest Cemetery, Ottawa, Ontario.2 3 General Notes
