John Lindsay Stephens

John Lindsay was born on January 28th, 1815 in Taliaferro, GA. John Lindsay's father was Andrew Baskins Stephens and his mother was Mathilda Marbury Somervilla Lindsey. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Stephens and Catherine Baskins; his maternal grandfather is John R Lindsey and his maternal grandmother was Clarissa Bullock. He had three brothers and a sister, named Andrew Baskins, Benjamin Bullock, Linton and Catherine Baskins. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Aaron Grier, Alexander Hamilton and Mary. He died at the age of 41 in 1856 in Crawforville. He was buried in 1856 in Crawforville.
