Ramon was born in 1817 in El Montmell.  Ramon's father was Lluis Colet Ferrer and his mother is Rosa Grogues.  His paternal grandfather was Benet Colet Esplugues and his paternal grandmother is Magina Ferrer. He had four brothers named Lluis, Joan, Llorenc and Pau.  He was the second youngest of the five children.  Ramon is no longer alive.
