Ramon was born on February 1st, 1833 in Vilobí del Penedés (Vallformosa). His godfather was Ramon Colet Esteva and his godmother was Josefa Mas. Ramon's father was Josep Colet Esteva and his mother was Maria Mas Roca. His paternal grandparents were Magí Colet Queraltó and Margarida Esteva Quintana. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Magí, Pere, Anton, Pau, Josep, Magdalena, Maria and Rosa.-
