Pere was born on December 6th, 1837 in Vilobí del Penedés (Vallformosa). His godfather was Pere Colet Esteva and his godmother was Teresa Mas Roca. Pere's father was Josep Colet Esteva and his mother was Maria Mas Roca. His paternal grandparents were Magí Colet Queraltó and Margarida Esteva Quintana. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Magí, Ramon, Anton, Pau, Josep, Magdalena, Maria and Rosa.-
