Anton was born on September 21st, 1843 in Vilobí del Penedés (Vallformosa). His godfather was Ramon Mas and his godmother was María Balada. Anton's father was Josep Colet Esteva and his mother was Maria Mas Roca. His paternal grandparents were Magí Colet Queraltó and Margarida Esteva Quintana. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Magí, Ramon, Pere, Pau, Josep, Magdalena, Maria and Rosa.-
