Margaret was born about 1557 in Hooton, Cheshire, England. Margaret's father was Sir Rowland Stanley (of Hooton and Storeton) and her mother was Margaret Aldersey. Her paternal grandparents were William Stanley and Grace Griffith. She had three brothers named William, Edward and John.-
