Gavin Smith

Gavin was born on February 17th, 1805 in Lanarkshire, Scotland.

Birth Notes

Gavin's father was Alexander (or Ramsey) Smith and his mother was Janet (or Ann) Purdie. His paternal grandparents were Gavin (Gaven) Smith and Christian Reid; his maternal grandparents were James Purdie and Eliza Smith. He had two brothers and five sisters, named John, Alexander, Elizabeth, Christian, Janet, Sarah and Mary. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died before 1878.
