James Fleming Dow 
James was born on August 15th, 1856 in Leslie, Fife, Scotland. James' father was William Dow and his mother was Agnes Fleming. His maternal grandparents were James Fleming and Margaret Finlay. He had three brothers named David, William and John. He was the second oldest of the four children. He had two half-sisters named Margaret and Georgina.-
