Sarah Chancellor 
Sarah was born on September 4th, 1838 in Midford, Somerset, England and her baptism took place on December 25th, 1839 in Midsomer Norton, Somerset, England. Sarah's father was Mark Chancellor and her mother was Lavinia Smith. Her paternal grandparents were William Chancellor and Vashti Sperring; her maternal grandparents were John Smith and Margaret James. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named John, William, Edwin, Vashti, Margaret, Sarah Ann, Brunetta (Brunette), Louisa, Lavinia and Eleanor (Ellen). She was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.-
