Edith Elizabeth was born on October 1st, 1870 in Clunes, Victoria, Australia. Edith Elizabeth's father was Mathew Bowden and her mother was Elizabeth Ann Dunn. Her paternal grandparents were William Henry Bowden and Caithrine Clarke; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Dunn and Ann Reed. She had a brother and three sisters, named Matthew, Catherine, Amy Maria and Clarice. She was the oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 90 on June 19th, 1961.-
