John Beveridge 
John was born on November 6th, 1761 in Dalgety, Fife, Scotland. John's father was William Beveridge and his mother was Elizabeth Livingston. His paternal grandparents were John Beveridge and Grissel (Grisle) Simson (Symsone). He had four brothers and a sister, named Christian, Archibald, James, Alexander and Grisle. He was the oldest of the six children.-
