John Johnston Beath 
John Johnston was born in 1831 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. John Johnston's father was David Alexander Beath and his mother was Marion Johnston. His paternal grandparents were David Beath and Barbara Douglas Park; his maternal grandparents were George Johnston and Mary Dunn. He had four brothers and five sisters, named David, George James, Charles, Richard, Mary Johnston Dunn, Barbara Jane, Marion, Elizabeth Williamson (Lizzie) and Robina. He died at the age of 55 on July 21st, 1886 in Hamilton, Victoria, Australia.-
