James Barrowman 
James was born in 1697 in Elginhaugh, Lasswade, Midlothian, Scotland and his baptism took place there on October 17th, 1697. James' father was Abraham Barrowman and his mother was Bethia Dickson. His paternal grandparents were John Barrowman and Janet Gray. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Abraham, Charles, Thomas, Jennet, Isabel and Mary. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.-
