Susie was born about 1875 in Chesapeake City, Cecil County, Maryland, USA.1  Susie's father was Samuel Lloyd and her mother was Rebecca E Chambers (Caleb, Lloyd).  Her maternal grandparents were John ? Chambers and Elizabeth ? (Chambers). She had two brothers and two sisters, named Benjaman, Dorry, Sallie and Julia.  She was the fourth oldest of the five known children. She had two half-brothers named Walter and John.  She was buried in Bethel Cemetary, Chesapeake City, Cecil County, Maryland, USA.1

Susie and Joseph were married in a religious & civil ceremony.1   They had five sons and two daughters, named Joseph, Earl, Milton, Mitchell, Calvin, Mamie and Miriam.
