John Roberts

John was born in 1826 in Yorkshire.¹ John's father was James Roberts and his mother was Harriet Richardson. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Roberts and Ann King; his maternal grandmother was Mary Stead. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Robert, William, Caroline, Matilda and Mary. He was the oldest of the six children.
