John James Harper 
John was born in 1886 in Houghton, Co Durham.1 John's father was William Harper and his mother was Mary. His paternal grandparents were James Henry Harper and Elizabeth Haywood. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William, Joseph, Henry, Ann, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the oldest of the seven children.-
