Luke Farrer

Luke was born in 1841 in Nether Witton, Northumberland and his baptism took place there on May 16th, 1841.  Luke's father was Thomas Farrer and his mother was Anne Gibson.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Farrer and Elizabeth Wanlace; his maternal grandparents were Luke Gibson and Ann Dixon or Dickson. He had two brothers and four sisters, named John, Thomas, Isabella, Anne, Mary and Elizabeth.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.
