Käte was born on March 14th, 1910.  Käte's father was Friedrich Peschel and her mother was Eva Pollack.  Her paternal grandparents were Friedrich Georg Peschel and Therese Friederike Oberhinninghofen; her maternal grandparents were Daniel Pollack and Caroline Eifler. She had three sisters named Klara, Ingeborg and Mechthild.  She was the third oldest of the four children.  She died in an accident or as a result of an injury.
